WORDS OF PRAISE

NOTE: Normally, this section would be reserved for participants who are heaping praise on our speakers.  However, it's just the opposite.  Throughout the 2001 conference, our nationally-recognized speakers continually marveled at the turnout of our statewide effort (440 healthcare leaders).   John Nance, who has spoken to literally hundreds of groups nationwide, commented on the "unprecedented participation level, sincerity and enthusiasm" of this event.  Martin Hatlie and Larry Tye also remarked that they had never spoken to such a large group of professionally diverse participants in a statewide event.  "The effort (VIPC&S) organized is a success story in and of itself that should be celebrated and told," said Hatlie.  The praise is certainly not one-way.  Here is a short sample of some feedback:

I shared my experience briefly this morning with members of the hospital's Quality Council on the education and process of this great conference and wished that more had been able to attend. I have planned a presentation to introduce them to VIPC&S next month. I appreciate the resources available on the web site....I know that the participants yesterday expressed the common goal to continue to participate in the plans to take specific next steps.  Thanks again for the kickoff of a very fulfilling yet challenging initiative!
